Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth in the Indian market by generating new leads and creating opportunities for Kensium’s Branding, Creative, and eCommerce Portfolio. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design and technology, proactive in identifying prospects, and skilled at building relationships. You will play a critical role in expanding Kensium’s footprint among mid-market manufacturers, distributors, and hybrid B2B/B2C businesses.
As the first point of contact, you will Kensium, understand the customer needs, and book meetings for introduction/demo with the Sales Manager. Your success will be measured by the number of qualified opportunities and the quality of engagement.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in generating and qualifying leads in IT-Sales.
- Aware of lead verification and validation strategies
- Fluent in using sales CRMs. Eg: Lead squared, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Identify and research potential clients within target industries and geographies.
- Utilize multiple channels (email, LinkedIn, cold calls, webinars, events) to build a qualified pipeline.
- Client Engagement:
- Engage prospects to understand business needs and align them with Kensium’s offerings.
- Schedule discovery calls and demos for the Sales team.
- Market Intelligence:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Share insights to refine lead qualification and sales strategies.
- CRM & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and opportunities in CRM.
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards and timely updates.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams for smooth handoff of qualified leads.
- Provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
KPIs:
- Number of qualified leads and opportunities generated per month.
- Lead response time.
- CRM data accuracy and follow-up compliance.
What Success Looks Like:
- Consistent pipeline of qualified leads.
- Positive feedback from prospects on initial interactions.
- Strong collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- 2-4 years of experience in business development or lead generation.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and related services (Digital Marketing, UX Optimization, Marketplaces).
- Familiarity with eCommerce KPIs (conversion rate, AOV, revenue per visitor).
- Proficiency in CRM tools and pipeline management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
- Exposure to ERP systems (Acumatica, Sage, NetSuite, Infor, Epicor).
- Knowledge of Digital Marketing concepts (Analytics, SEO, PPC, Content Marketing, Social Marketing, UX optimization, etc.).
- Ability to travel for client meetings and events.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MBA in Marketing or equivalent business degree.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; additional regional language skills are a plus.
