You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams to support the entire sales cycle from discovery to demos to documentation, while ensuring prospects fully understand the value and impact of Kensium’s product ecosystem. You will become a subject‑matter expert across our POS, WMS, and OmnifiCX platforms, learning how they solve real‑world challenges across retail, distribution, and omnichannel commerce.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Discovery & Scoping:
- Lead structured discovery calls/workshops to understand store operations, warehouse workflows, omnichannel use‑cases, fulfillment models, inventory processes, and pain points.
- Map prospect requirements to capabilities within Kensium POS, Kensium WMS, and OmnifiCX, identifying configuration options, integrations, and gaps.
- Translate findings into clear discovery summaries, requirement matrices, and scoping inputs (assumptions, risks, dependencies, and business goals).
- Understand upstream/downstream systems such as ERP, ecommerce, and 3PL apps to ensure alignment with the end‑to‑end architecture.
Product-Focused Solution Design:
- Create high‑level solution outlines across POS workflows, warehouse processes, and unified commerce data flows (orders, inventory, fulfillment, returns).
- Recommend best practices based on product capabilities, release roadmap, and accelerators.
- Build narratives that connect product features to customer outcomes like inventory accuracy, pick/pack efficiency, omnichannel speed, store performance, and customer experience metrics.
Demos & PoCs:
- Configure demo environments for POS, WMS, and OmnifiCX based on prospect industry (retail, distribution, hybrid B2B/B2C).
- Deliver clear, engaging product demonstrations that speak to operational, IT, and executive audiences.
- Support product trial environments or lightweight PoC setups when required.
- Address questions around feature behavior, integration options, data flows, extensibility, mobile/handheld devices, offline behavior, and reporting.
Technical Documentation and Proposal Support:
- Own product‑specific technical content in proposals, RFP responses, and SOWs.
- Document workflows, integration points, and acceptance criteria aligned to product implementation standards.
- Collaborate with Product Management to ensure positioning, licensing details, and capabilities communicated to prospects are accurate and up‑to‑date
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Product Managers to stay updated on new releases, features, and roadmap items.
- Coordinate with Delivery teams for feasibility checks, edge‑case discussions, and clean hand‑offs from pre‑sales to implementation.
- Work with Marketing on product demo scripts, one‑pagers, competitive comparisons, and recorded walkthroughs.
Continuous Learning & Asset Creation:
- Develop reusable demo flows, configuration templates, discovery frameworks, and proposal boilerplates.
- Track market trends in POS, WMS, and omnichannel commerce to strengthen Kensium’s competitive positioning.
- Use AI‑assisted tools to speed up diagramming, documentation, and PoC content creation.
Experience and Skills:
Technical Expertise:
- 2–4 years of experience in pre‑sales, product consulting, or solution engineering roles within RetailTech, Supply Chain, or related SaaS products.
- Working knowledge of retail POS, inventory management, warehouse operations, or omnichannel commerce workflows.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Acumatica, NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) as they relate to order, inventory, and fulfillment processes.
- Understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and data flows (REST, webhooks, JSON, Postman).
- Ability to read data models, troubleshoot simple configuration issues, or demo functional flows (no heavy coding required).
Pre-Sales Excellence:
- Strong discovery and scoping skills. Abilty to map operational challenges to product capabilities.
- Confident presenter with strong demo and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in creating architecture diagrams (Lucidchart, Draw.io, Visio).
- Ability to work with Sales on competitive positioning, objection handling, and ROI framing.
Communication & Relationship-Building:
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication.
- Ability to explain complex operational workflows simply.
- Builds rapport quickly with retail leaders, warehouse managers, IT teams, and executives.
- Calm, confident presence during live Q&A and technical discussions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3+ years in a pre‑sales or solutions role supporting POS, WMS, ERP, or related retail/supply‑chain technology.
- Ability to deliver tailored product demos and articulate technical concepts.
- Strong understanding of retail or warehouse operations. ▪ Excellent communication and stakeholder‑facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting POS or WMS product implementations or pre‑sales cycles.
- Exposure to omnichannel platforms, mobile picking apps, or store‑fulfillment systems.
- Familiarity with retail hardware (scanners, terminals, mobile POS devices, printers).
- Experience with product‑focused playbooks, demo libraries, and reusable technical content.
- Ability to use AI or automation tools to accelerate pre‑sales work.
