Job Description:

Are you a fresher passionate about building a career in Quality Assurance? At Kensium, we deliver cutting-edge eCommerce and ERP solutions for global clients. As a Trainee Test Analyst, you will learn to ensure product quality across functional, UI/UX, and integration areas — while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading tools, QA methodologies, and best practices. This role is designed for enthusiastic learners who want to grow into Analyst and Senior Analyst roles over time.

As a Trainee Quality Analyst, you will:

  • Learn and support the QA process across multiple projects under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist in creating and executing test cases and test scenarios (primarily manual, with exposure to automation).
  • Participate in requirement reviews to understand business and technical expectations.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using QA tools, ensuring clear documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and analysts to support smooth and timely releases.
  • Continuously learn QA best practices, tools, and methodologies.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Curious, proactive, and enthusiastic about quality assurance.
  • Familiar with basic testing concepts; exposure to tools like Selenium or Playwright is a plus.
  • A good communicator who can clearly articulate issues and observations.
  • Passionate about delivering quality solutions and exceptional user experiences.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the QA team in ensuring end-to-end quality across Kensium’s client deliveries under guidance from senior team members.
  • Understand business and system requirements and assist in translating them into clear and well-documented test cases.
  • Help prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and basic test data for functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
  • Execute test cases accurately and report results with attention to detail.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, ensuring clear reproduction steps and timely follow-ups.
  • Assist in validating defect fixes through retesting and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with Developers, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and UI/UX teams to understand requirements and quality expectations.
  • Prepare and share basic test execution reports highlighting test status and observed issues.
  • Participate in sprint reviews, internal demos, and QA discussions to understand delivery and release processes.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to automation and API testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) as part of learning and skill development.
  • Follow established QA processes, standards, and best practices consistently.
  • Proactively ask questions, seek feedback, and continuously learn new tools, techniques, and domain knowledge.
  • Assist in identifying potential quality risks and escalating them to senior team members when needed.
  • Stay updated on QA fundamentals, tools, and emerging trends through training and hands-on practice.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and self-motivation.
  • Knowledge of Software Testing concepts through a formal course/certification.
  • Understanding of QA processes, testing types, and defect life cycle.
  • Basic familiarity with Test Management tools (Jira preferred).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Completion of a Software Testing course (mandatory).

What’s in it for you?

  • Accelerated learning environment with mentorship from experienced QA Analysts and Senior Analysts.
  • Exposure to ERP and eCommerce quality assurance—aligned with Kensium’s Analyst career path.
  • Career growth into Analyst → Senior Analyst roles with clear competency milestones.
  • Competitive benefits, learning programs, and a collaborative culture.
