As a Trainee Test Analyst, you will learn to ensure product quality across functional, UI/UX, and integration areas — while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading tools, QA methodologies, and best practices. As a Trainee Quality Analyst, you will:
- Learn and support the QA process across multiple projects under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in creating and executing test cases and test scenarios (primarily manual, with exposure to automation).
- Participate in requirement reviews to understand business and technical expectations.
- Identify, log, and track defects using QA tools, ensuring clear documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and analysts to support smooth and timely releases.
- Continuously learn QA best practices, tools, and methodologies.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the QA team in ensuring end-to-end quality across Kensium’s client deliveries under guidance from senior team members.
- Understand business and system requirements and assist in translating them into clear and well-documented test cases.
- Help prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and basic test data for functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
- Execute test cases accurately and report results with attention to detail.
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, ensuring clear reproduction steps and timely follow-ups.
- Assist in validating defect fixes through retesting and regression testing.
- Collaborate with Developers, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and UI/UX teams to understand requirements and quality expectations.
- Prepare and share basic test execution reports highlighting test status and observed issues.
- Participate in sprint reviews, internal demos, and QA discussions to understand delivery and release processes.
- Gain hands-on exposure to automation and API testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) as part of learning and skill development.
- Follow established QA processes, standards, and best practices consistently.
- Proactively ask questions, seek feedback, and continuously learn new tools, techniques, and domain knowledge.
- Assist in identifying potential quality risks and escalating them to senior team members when needed.
- Stay updated on QA fundamentals, tools, and emerging trends through training and hands-on practice.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and self-motivation.
- Knowledge of Software Testing concepts through a formal course/certification.
- Understanding of QA processes, testing types, and defect life cycle.
- Basic familiarity with Test Management tools (Jira preferred).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Completion of a Software Testing course (mandatory).
