Role Overview:
As AI-powered search reshapes how buyers discover and evaluate products, being the brand that ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity recommends has become a genuine competitive advantage. This Growth Marketing Associate role is heavily focused on Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) — the practice of building that visibility systematically for clients.
This is a high-ownership, client-facing role. You'll work directly with leadership to design and run GEO programmes — across LLM query intelligence, citation-ready content, brand-entity signals, digital PR, and measurement — for B2B commerce, B2B SaaS, and D2C ecommerce clients.
You'll need to both think strategically and execute independently, especially across content, technical coordination, and AI-visibility experiments.
This role is ideal for someone from a startup or agency background who has owned multiple aspects of marketing, with exposure to commerce environments — and a genuine curiosity about how LLMs decide who to trust.
Key Responsibilities:
1. GEO Strategy & Programme Planning:
- Work with leadership to design full-funnel AI-visibility programmes for clients across B2B and B2C (B2B SaaS and commerce preferred)
- Run client discovery calls; surface the gap between a client's narrative and what AI engines currently say about them — that gap is the opportunity
- Design the prompt set, define Share-of-Voice baselines, set the roadmap, and translate it into actionable monthly execution
2. LLM Query Intelligence & Content Strategy:
- Map the real questions buyers ask AI engines in a client's category, and the fan-out sub-queries each LLM generates internally
- Build topic clusters and pillar-spoke architectures; map buyer intent to the right page types
- Write and edit high-quality, citation-ready content — Answer Blocks, FAQ sets, comparison pages — structured for extraction, not just for reading
- Partner with technical SEO/GEO on schema and crawlability for execution
3. Entity, Authority & Digital PR:
- Drive the brand's entity foundation — Wikidata, Google Knowledge Panel, sameAs consistency, NAP hygiene — working alongside entity specialists
- Plan co-occurrence and digital PR campaigns that earn brand mentions in trusted sources
- Establish a credible presence in communities like Reddit, Quora, and industry forums
4. Technical GEO Coordination:
- Partner with technical/dev teams on AI bot access, rendering, schema deployment, and indexing
- Translate technical findings into client-facing recommendations and dev tasks
5. Measurement & Performance Tracking:
- Own LLM Share of Voice across multiple engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, Meta AI)
- Track citation sentiment and coverage
- Set up and interpret GA4 AI-referral tracking
- Build performance reporting frameworks
6. Experimentation & Optimisation:
- Test content structures, schema, and page formats
- Diagnose visibility gaps and prioritise improvements
7. Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead client discussions and translate goals into execution plans
- Align internal teams across strategy and technical streams
Requirements:
- 3–6 years in growth, performance, SEO, or content marketing
- Exposure to commerce environments preferred
Strong hands-on experience across:
- Content strategy and writing
- SEO
- Brand positioning and messaging
- Basics of structured data / Schema.org
- Digital PR or Account-Based Marketing
Additional expectations:
- Understanding of LLM behavior (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Strong communication and client-facing ability
- Ability to independently execute and own outcomes
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments

- Experience with US clients
- Startup or agency background
