Overview

Yoogi’s Closet partnered with Kensium to upgrade its ecommerce back-end from Adobe Commerce 2.3.2 to 2.4.8, while simultaneously modernizing the underlying infrastructure and platform services. The existing environment was approaching end-of-support across multiple layers, increasing risks related to security vulnerabilities, system stability, and long-term maintainability.

The primary objective was to upgrade Adobe Commerce and all required supporting services to create a fully supported, secure, and stable back-end for the existing Vue Storefront, without introducing the risk of front-end re-platforming or disrupting customer experience.

Challenges

End-of-Life Adobe Commerce Version
Magento 2.3.2 was no longer supported, exposing the platform to security vulnerabilities and compliance risks.
Outdated Runtime & Services
Legacy versions of PHP, database, search, messaging, and caching services limited performance, stability, and scalability.
GraphQL Stability for Vue Storefront
The older Adobe version provided limited and less stable API support, impacting front-end reliability
Performance & Scalability Constraints
Back-end inefficiencies affected API response times during peak traffic periods.
Legacy Customizations
Custom modules and older dependencies increased the complexity of upgrading the Adobe Commerce core

Client Testimonial

We recently worked with the Kensium team on completing our upgrade to Adobe Commerce 2.4.8. Kensium was considerate of our timing and budget constraints and worked with us to deliver a successful launch of our revised webstore. Kensium conducted the work in a very organized and well-planned manner, demonstrating expertise on the Adobe Commerce platform. Our backend is relatively complicated with many extensions that needed to be upgraded which Kensium addressed during the implementation. The upgrade was executed with minimal disruption to our business operations and customer experience with Kensium responding to post-launch issues rapidly and with a high degree of competence.
