Kensium's First Annual Kensium Cares Day

Kensium's Cares Day 2022

June 12th, 2022, marked the 16th anniversary of Kensium. We have grown by leaps and bounds over the last 16 years. Previous anniversaries rewarded employees by getting together at a resort for a day of fun and relaxation. Two years ago, one of our staff suggested we celebrate Kensium’s anniversary as Kensium Cares Day, spending the time and money to help others in our communities.

This idea resonated with our leadership team and a plan was put in motion to encourage employees to perform acts of service to those less fortunate and volunteering their time contributing to improving areas where people spend time together like beaches and parks.

Why Kensium Cares Day?

Kensium Cares Day is a physical representation of our core value of practicing empathy. We encourage our employees to spend the day volunteering within their local community and exhibit Kensium’s culture of help.

It took a bit of time to bring the idea to fruition because of Covid, but now that we can interact with our communities more, 2022 became the flagship year of Kesium Cares Day. On June 13, Kensium’s staff volunteered for various social causes.

Our teams in Chicago and California took on cleaning beaches and parks. Remote employees volunteered in their locations to help clean roadsides, parks, and volunteer to help organizations close to their hearts. Our team in Hyderabad donated books to a library and helped decorate the school attached. An additional 88 of our staff volunteered at Mahbub College and planted trees, cleaned and prepped the walls for paint, and cleaned furniture. They also painted two classrooms and a library; our Information Technology team volunteered and revived the school’s computer lab.

“I am continually delighted that our team believes in helping each other and giving back to their local communities. Instead of celebrating in a resort, they have decided to volunteer their time and use the budgeted anniversary celebrations amount to renovate the library, paint the walls, plant a new garden, provide books and facilities to the library, clean the local play areas, and beaches, feeding the needy, etc.,” said Rahul Gedupudi, founder of Kensium.

“The root of Kensium Cares Day is in the root of Kensium. Kensium is a culture of Help. We help each other. We help our clients. We help our partners. We help our families. At our very core, Kensium is about Help, and what better way to express that than to help our neighbors and our communities?” said Paul, CEO of Kensium.

Paul Prickett_3Our remote workers across the globe participated in their own way, cleaning parks, beaches, and roadsides. Others distributed food and essentials to the homeless. Quite a few spent time caring for the elderly in assisted living and nursing homes, and some visited orphanages and spent time with young children there.

It was indeed a day well spent looking at smiles on the faces of school children, elderly residents, homeless folks, etc. lot of residents around the beach/ park thanked Kensians for an excellent job. On behalf of the Kensium Leadership team, I want to thank each of you who participated in the event and made it a success.

We look forward to celebrating Kensium Cares Day next year and expanding our outreach and community involvement in 2023.
