Nexus
is a full service A/E firm that qualifies as a small business. Nexus
was founded as a closely held corporation on June 12, 1989 in the
state of Texas. The name "Nexus" was chosen by the founders
because one of the meanings of the word is to link or connect. The
founders believed that most engineering was provided without enough
attention to service for the client. Thus the founding principal was
to link or connect engineering and super-pleasing service. The
founders defined super-pleasing service as listening to the client to
make sure that client needs were met, commitments were honored and
products were delivered in a useful manner.
Nexus began as a fire protection engineering firm with expertise in
industrial and nuclear hazards. Today Nexus provides engineering
services to support design and analysis work in markets including
Government, Nuclear Power Operating & Decommissioning, Industrial,
Insurance and Institutional.
Nexus qualifications include staff with DOE Q Clearances, graduate and
post graduate engineering degrees and staff with experience ranging
from 0 to 40 years.
Nexus business lines include design and analysis in the areas of
Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Fire Protection Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
