Compendium Add-On Scripts for LAW PreDiscoveryTM

LAW PreDiscoveryTM software offers you and your litigation teams the power to produce and organize paper and electronic files with a dynamic imaging and electronic discovery processing application. Maximize your staff’s productivity by utilizing Law Scripts as opposed to the usual solutions of exporting data out of LAW to manipulate in other programs (Access, Concordance, Summation, etc.) and having to import the results back into LAW.

Each script within LAW PreDiscoveryTM has been written to solve everyday challenges that LAW users encounter. These scripts are built with the highest flexibility and allow you to use the fields you have setup within your LAW Case. Current package consists of over 30 scripts with more being added based on request from users across the country.

The following scripts are currently available as a part of this package :

K-001 Filesize of Case Allows you to retrieve the total Filesize of the LAW Case
K-002 Remove File (.ext) Removes the file extension from a field
K-003 Combine Two Fields Will combine two fields within LAW and outputs the result into the third field. This script is recommended for combining data across text or numeric data and not for Date\Time contents
K-004 Combine Path\File name
K-005 Truncate field to 255 characters Will truncate the selected field to not contain more than 255 characters
K-006 DocTitle Combine the EmailSubject (EMAIL) and Title (EDOC) into one field
K-007 Author Combine the From (EMAIL) and Author (EDOC) into one field
K-008 DocType Updates File Description details for all email docs with the word E-MAIL
K-009 Update ParentID Will update all records with the Parent ID, children within familes will have the ParentID updated
K-010 Email Body Update Updates LAW field with Email Body Text
K-011 Word Markups Will review all MS Word (.doc) files and identify any containing markups.
K-012 PDF Permissions Removal Will review all Adobe (.PDF) files and remove all permission restrictions.
K-013 Set Attachment based on Delimiter Will set documents as attachments based on delimiter found in filename
K-014 Update AttachPID based on AttachLvl Will update the AttachPID based on the AttachLvl field data.
K-015 DocDate Updates date for each doc using multipe date fields - Note LAW field must be created as a date field.
K-016 ParentDate Updates only families (attachments) with the date of the Parent doc.
K-017 MasterDate Will update with DocDate and ParentDate Script logic
K-018 DocTime Updates date for each doc using multipe time fields
K-019 Merge Date and Time Field into one Merges specified Date and Time field for each doc into a single Date\Time field
K-020 Update Parent Date and Time Updates only families (attachments) with the date and time of the Parent doc.
K-021 (De-Dupe DB) DUPEId's Update with Control # Will update only records that have a matching MD5 Hash and do not contain DupStatus of C or G. User selects the Control# Field to update
K-022 (De-Dupe DB) Custodian Dupes Will update only records that have a matching MD5 Hash and do not contain DupStatus of C or G. Updates field with Custodain Name, duplicate names will be elminated.
K-023 (De-Dupe DB) Custodian Dupes - Parent Records Only Will update Parent records that have a matching MD5 Hash and do not contain DupStatus of C or G. Updates field with Custodain Name, duplicate names will be elminated.
K-024 (De-Dupe DB) Parent Dupe Doc Will update only records that have a matching MD5 Hash and do not contain DupStatus of C or G. User selects the Control# Field to update.
K-025 (De-Dupe DB) Hash Dupes Will update the field with a Y if the record is a Hash dupe of another doc
K-026 (Non de-dupe DB) DUPEId's Update with Control # Will update only records that have a matching MD5 Hash. User selects the Control# Field to update
K-027 (Non de-dupe DB) Custodian Dupes Will update only records that have a matching MD5 Hash. Updates field with Custodian Name, duplicate names will be eliminated.
K-028 (Non de-dupe DB) Custodian Dupes - Parent Records Only Will update Parent records that have a matching MD5 Hash. Updates field with Custodain Name, duplciate names will be elminated.
K-029 (Non de-dupe DB) Parent Dupe Doc Will update only records that have a matching MD5 Hash. User selects the Control# Field to update.
K-030 (Non de-dupe DB) Hash Dupes Will update the field with a Y if the record is a Hash dupe of another doc
K-031 Revisions in Word Documents Will review all MS Word (.doc) files and identify any containing Revisions.
K-032 Comments in Word Documents Will review all MS Word (.doc) files and identify any containing Comments.
K-033 Family Count Populate the Output Field with the total number of family members for each records.
K-034 Family Page Count Populate the Output Field with the sum of pages across all family members for each records.
K-035 Inspect Excel Files Will review all Microsoft Excel (.xls) files and tag the output fields based on choices for identifying hidden rows, hidden columns or presence of Macros in them.
